About Me
My name is Ben Turney and this is my blog.
I have always been interested in markets, but it has taken me a long time to do anything serious about this. I work for myself and own a small corporate finance house in Manchester, specialising in start-up investments. Our website is www.epiphanycapital.co.uk.
Since 2004, I have been developing a trading system with some colleagues. The system is based on several established methods. It works by tracking price and volume movements in global financial instruments, identifying low-risk buy and sell entry points.
While we currently only use the system to trade with privately, we have a broad intention of of releasing the code to open source for development one day.
My original plan in the blog was to write about, plan and track trading decisions based on the system’s calls. However the extraordinary conditions of the Credit Crisis meant I changed my focus to a wider economic commentary.
I also use this site to help inform my trading session. In the “Useful Links” section I list the free resources I use on the web. In the “Global Interest Rates” section I manually update the Base Rates of key countries around the World. I try to keep on top of this, but if you spot any errors please let me know.
If you want to contact me, my email address is ben@technicalforecasting.com.
I hope you enjoy this blog and I look forward to hearing from you.
